Eligibility

The Coal Association of Canada offers a variety of membership categories:

Coal Producer: an individual or organization that either produces coal, owns a working interest in a coal mine, has received all necessary approvals to develop a mine and such mine is under construction, or holds coal leases, lands or licenses.

Coal Consumer: an individual or organization that operates an industrial facility that consumes coal.

Rail Operator: an individual or organization that operates a railway that transports coal.

Terminal Operator: an individual or organization that operates a coal storage, transshipment or handling facility.

Supplier: an individual or organization that provides goods or services (other than a Rail Operator or a Terminal Operator) to, or is otherwise associated with, the coal industry.

Municipality: an organized or unorganized municipality, city, or similar government authority that supports the coal industry and its Association.

Individual: an individual who has a professional, educational or business interest in and supports the coal industry generally.

Membership is approved by the Association’s Board of Directors at its sole discretion.
